Luzar Sealant
Description
Luzar® Sealant is used to plug water leaks caused by pores in heating or hot water systems.
It is formulated from cellulose fibers and mineral components which crystallize within the pores upon contact with air, forming a permanent, heat- and pressure-resistant layer that permanently seals the leak.
The product is compatible with all materials commonly used in heating circuits, including light alloys and plastics.
Once the sealing process is complete, the water from the system can be discharged into the sewerage system, as the product is harmless and its organic content is readily biodegradable.

Directions for use
Shake the product before use and introduce it into the system. Ensure the product circulates throughout the system by flushing the circuit to prevent the formation of air pockets (the presence of oxygen).
If there are filters in the system, isolate them using a bypass or remove the filter element whilst the product is acting.
Start the system at the maximum operating temperature and leave it to work for 5 – 10 hours.
After this period, switch off the heating, shut down the circuit and check that there is no drop in pressure. If the pressure is stable, drain the system. Rinse with water and refill the circuit.
When treating older systems or those with rust problems, it is recommended to clean the circuit beforehand with Luzar® LD to ensure Luzar® Sealant works effectively.
If you need to work on glycol-based water circuits, please consult our technical department for advice and use the product Luzar® Sealant GLY.
